An Insatiable Appetite

Unraveling the mysteries and successfully treating eating disorders.

An alarming escalation of eating disorders is finding a way into treatment. Anorexia, Bulimia and compulsive overeating are creating a series of new challenges for clinicians dedicated to healing these crippling disorders.

This workshop will focus on identifying the cultural, political, social, familial, and individual contributors that fuel this growing tide. We will present The Collaborative Stage Model, a three-tiered treatment model for successful therapy and outline the interactive dynamics and transitions of eating disorders. There will be examples from individuals, couples, and group modalities as well as information on how to understand the dynamics, the treatment, and the underlying contributors so that behavioral change can take place.
